Summary Statement

After a survey of adaptive clothing and other traditional outdoor sports brands with a wider audience in the market, I found that there are not many brands that combine functional adaptive components and product versatility for outdoor adaptive clothing. I think the popularity of outdoor adaptive brands is still insufficient. For example, Tommy Hilfiger does a good job of combining adaptive clothing with fashion, but there are no thicker clothes for extreme weather, exposing the lack of adaptive winter wear in the market for instance. The goal of my collection is to allow people with leg amputees the opportunity to adapt and have a love for the outdoors through later exercise.

Design Problem Statment

By researching the adaptive clothing market, my project targets people aged 18 to 55 who love the outdoors and have a fashionable aesthetic, especially leg prosthetics, to give them a better outdoor sports experience.
